Privacy Notice

This notice explains what data we collect when you use SEG Switcher at shrewd.club/solar, why we collect it, and your rights. The service is operated by Service Trades Ltd (company number 16683699), registered at Little Orchard, Littleworth Lane, RH13 8JF. Contact us at info@shrewd.club.

What we collect and why

When you complete the rate check form, we collect: your postcode, system size, current supplier, payment details you enter, and answers to eligibility questions (MCS certification, smart meter status, battery storage). This data is necessary to run the comparison and is the lawful basis for processing it (contract performance / legitimate interest).

If you choose to provide your email address, we store it alongside your rate check result so we can send you a copy of your results and, if you consent, notify you when the Switch Setup service launches or when a better tariff becomes available. We rely on your consent for these communications.

If you purchase the £29 Switch Setup service (not yet live), we will collect additional details required to complete the switch application form (meter details, account references). This will be covered by a supplementary notice before you provide that data.

Who we share data with

We use the following sub-processors:

• Supabase — database hosting. Data is stored on servers within the EU/EEA.
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Used to send you your rate check results and service notifications.

We do not sell your data, share it with energy suppliers, or use it for advertising. We receive no payment from suppliers.

How long we keep data

Rate check submissions are retained for 12 months, after which they are deleted unless you have an active subscription or open service case. Email addresses are retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
