Find out if you're on the best SEG tariff.

A typical switch earns about £100/year £2,500 over the life of your panels.

Most UK solar owners are stuck on 3–6p/kWh when 15p+ is available. We'll check yours honestly — including telling you if you're already on the best deal.

The habit worth building

Rates change — sometimes up, sometimes down. Suppliers don't announce when they cut rates for existing customers, so most people don't notice.

The habit that matters: check in every year or two. Staying on the best available rate is worth thousands over the life of your panels.

How it works

1

Check your rate — free

Enter your system size, current supplier, and what you're currently being paid. Takes about 2 minutes. No account required.

2

Get an honest answer

We compare every active SEG tariff in the UK against your profile. If you're already on the best available deal, we'll tell you — clearly.

3

Switch for £29 — coming soon

If we find a better tariff, you can pay £29 for us to handle the switch paperwork. You review it, sign it, and submit it. No letters of authority, no supplier access — just the admin done.

Why trust us

No commissions, ever

We're paid by you, not by suppliers. That means we can recommend 'do nothing' when that's the right call. A commission-based model structurally can't.

Rate data from supplier pages

We source every tariff directly from the supplier's own published rates, with a verification date. No aggregator middleman, no stale data.

We tell you if you're already on the best deal

If you are, we'll say so and save you the bother. No tool that earns from switching can say the same.

Small independent team

We're four people, UK-based, solar owners ourselves. Not a comparison website with a growth fund behind it.

Questions

How is this different from comparison sites like uSwitch or MoneySuperMarket?+

Comparison sites earn referral fees when you switch through them. That's a structural conflict of interest — they can't recommend 'do nothing' and they can't list suppliers that don't pay commission. We earn only from customers, so we can give you the honest answer even when it's 'stay where you are'.

How do you make money?+

From customers directly. The free rate check is funded by the optional £29 Switch Setup service, and eventually by a subscription for ongoing tariff monitoring. We receive no payment from suppliers, ever.

What if I don't have a smart meter or MCS certificate?+

We'll still run the check and show you everything available to you today. Higher-paying tariffs often require a smart meter or MCS certification — we'll tell you which ones and explain what you'd need to unlock them. No information is hidden.

How long does a switch take?+

Most SEG switches take 2–4 weeks from application to your new tariff going live, though this varies by supplier. We'll tell you what to expect for your specific switch when we prepare the paperwork.

Can I cancel the £29 service?+

Yes — if you've paid and we haven't submitted the paperwork yet, you get a full refund. Once the paperwork is submitted to the supplier, no refund is available; the work is done at that point. Full details in our refund policy.

Is this regulated?+

The free rate check is a comparison tool — not regulated. The Switch Setup service involves preparing forms for the customer to submit themselves. As of 2026, this is not a regulated activity under Ofgem's rules. We monitor the evolving third-party intermediary (TPI) regulation framework and will comply with any requirements as they come into force.
